Vinyl wrap for plastic pieces

Hi All,

I want to add some more color to my car. I have some accessories in plastic/ABS and want to change the color.

Options are to spray paint it or use a vinyl wrap.

What is your recommendation?

If I want to paint it I need primer, the color and gloss ... I guess it gets more expensive and also need to sand it.

What's are your thoughts? Thx in advance

Wrapping a part may not be permanent and would allow you to revert back to the original texture/color. Paint may ultimately be the better option based on how easily the part can actually be wrapped without wrinkles / bubbles.

All the above plus it depends on your experience. If the part has a complex shape, it might be hard to wrap.

What are these parts?

I wrapped some pieces including the bottom steering wheel piece and I don’t like it, so I just took the wrap off. See if you can wrap first to see if you like it then if you really want then paint

It is easy to wrap when you know how to do it.

Do not overstretch because this part will be under direct sunlight often the wrap will shrink.

you can also choose dry carbon fiber or suede to wrap trim pieces. use 3m glue which can still be removed with goo gone if you choose to put it back to stock.
