The GM parts direct part number does not match the one listed on the Chevrolet website that still states that it will be available in early 2016.

Still listed as future part.

Just confirmed with both GM performance parts dealer and GMPartsDirect. This product is not available for purchase. If you order it from GMPartsDirect, order will just cancel since it is listed (internally) as a future part Also, 84073382 is not the correct part number for 2016 V8 Camaro. Correct part number would be 84073383 (ending with 3 instead of 2), and this product will be CARB certified (according to GM).

According to what he sees in the information, tune is NOT included when you buy the product when it becomes available.

Well, wait continues......

Anyone hear anything at the 50th Event about this? Or still waiting for CARB cert?

Yeah it looks like the Cold Air Inductions and they said they have figured out the whistle and have a new tube. Not sure if they are producing the tube yet.

And gotcha on calibration and time frame. Thanks for the info!

Good news! I wouldn't bother getting one if it didn't have the calibration.

Most importantly would be a new calibration for the maf since the path of incoming air changes with the new intake, airflow can be miscalculated

Without a tune, I'd question its effectiveness. If Chevy tested and calibrated for the additional air flow, I've faith it will give a real gain.

What I learned from the 50th event @ LGR is that they already got the CARB cert, but then they realized the whistle which is why it wasn't released. I was told that it should be out by the end of the year for the SS. It does indeed come with a re-calibration, aka tune and 100% full warranty coverage.

I wouldn't worry about a tune. So far all the intakes have not proven a power gain with or without a tune. The stock intake flows well and is hard to improve on just like 5.0 Mustangs. Time and dynos will tell.

But you might buy it for a better intake sound, looks, and to get rid of the horrible sound tube.

Here you go, news second hand from Chevy.....
