At least on the ZLE I am sure they mask it well though with the super aggressive tires, less rubber bushings and wider tires in the front. The regular ZL1 would fair worst from a handling perspective.

The SS 1LE strikes a good balance with almost 50/50 weight distribution. I believe it is 52/48
Trying to talk the wife into an SS1LE that way I can have access to both. Love that car!

What city are you in?
Bargersville, IN specifically.

Do what works best for you. I have a "regular" ZL1 that I've added some 1LE aero and 1LE spec wheels as well. With either ZL1 or ZLE, if you're tracking at all you're going to want a set of extra wheels and tires. With the roads around where I live, if you have significant street time its much better to have the magride - the car is very comfortable even over rough surfaces. At the track with everything else the same, I don't really think at most skill levels the difference between magride vs. DSSV would be worth more than a couple seconds - a tradeoff I can live with as I'm not paid to set lap records. Just my opinion.

I have the ZLE. not a track racer or a Coffee and cars goer. Just lucky enough to find a killer deal on a low mile nearly perfect one. I wanted the ZLE for the looks more than anything. Since it is not a daily car, the ride not being as smooth as the magnetic ride was not an issue. Would almost be impossible to drink coffee in it with it's ride plus no good place to set it. Get what you want and enjoy. Both are overly capable cars.

The main difference in laptimes from ZL1 to ZLE is the wheels & G3Rs.

AND dare I say it.... The rear-end feel. To me at least, the solid cradle bushings make all the difference in feel and driver confidence. You just aren't chasing the lateral movement of the rear-end in the ZLE as you would in the SS 1LE or ZL1 in stock form, and that leads to confidence in the driver to push harder.

Most probably not worth very much at all in the way of lap times or actual performance on its own merit, but a big different in feel and confidence when driven at or near the limit.
