I hear you brother...My other vehicle has 37's, but it's actually pretty good in the rain.

Niceee! The jeep floats on the freeway if it hits a puddle. You just cross your fingers the puddle ends and gives you traction hahhah

Yes, I spun it around like it was on ice. I was expecting the TC to stop it. Luckily no other traffic was around.

I have yokohama s-drives and they fly in the rain. gotta have at least 4 grooves to really hold in the rain. when I bought this car it had Pirelli's on it they suck. look for rain grooves

My Jeep on 37s is also my rain vehicle. Maybe you need to upgrade to Cooper STT PRO 37s

That's tire I have on my truck (above). Great so far. That's a real nice jeep by the way. I have a Jeep also.

35x12.5 Baja atz pontoons here. They aren’t terrible in the rain but not great either.
I’ve only driven the Camaro in the rain once and I really didn’t drive it hard. The BFG comp 2s were just fine in the rain.

Yes, the Pirelli's are not meant to drive fast in the rain. They are outstanding "summer" tires and perform their best on dry surfaces above 50 degrees F. What you want is an "all weather" type of tire that has very high "wet" traction ability. No doubt they are out there, but remember, there is also a trade off with ultimate dry traction that one does get with the Pirellis.

I had a 450whp subaru before this. That AWD really makes a difference, never had to worry about this kind of thing lol.

Have to be very careful in the rain with this bad boy it seems.
Not having much visible water on the pavement should be taken as a sign that the oils and what-not that tend to collect on the road surface haven't been washed away yet. An oil film on top of dampness is still a pretty slippery combination.

Dividing power and torque four ways instead of just two is a huge difference. You definitely need to "recalibrate" both your mind and your right foot away from what your Subaru experience has been teaching you about cars with over 400 HP. Acquiring finer modulation of that throttle will become your best friend.

Your car's nannies may be able to save you from situations that you wouldn't be able to save yourself from, but even they have limits. Physics > electronic programming, always.

It doesn't work below 25MPH anyway, neither does ABS for the most part.

There is a difference between Traction control, and Stability control. However,
if you're under 25MPH, it doesn't work. At 15MPH, the car won't even bother to try.
