I have yokohama s-drives and they fly in the rain. gotta have at least 4 grooves to really hold in the rain. when I bought this car it had Pirelli's on it they suck. look for rain grooves

35x12.5 Baja atz pontoons here. They aren’t terrible in the rain but not great either.
I’ve only driven the Camaro in the rain once and I really didn’t drive it hard. The BFG comp 2s were just fine in the rain.

Yes, the Pirelli's are not meant to drive fast in the rain. They are outstanding "summer" tires and perform their best on dry surfaces above 50 degrees F. What you want is an "all weather" type of tire that has very high "wet" traction ability. No doubt they are out there, but remember, there is also a trade off with ultimate dry traction that one does get with the Pirellis.

Dividing power and torque four ways instead of just two is a huge difference. You definitely need to "recalibrate" both your mind and your right foot away from what your Subaru experience has been teaching you about cars with over 400 HP. Acquiring finer modulation of that throttle will become your best friend. Your car's nannies may be able to save you from situations that you wouldn't be able to save yourself from, but even they have limits. Physics > electronic programming, always. Norm

It doesn't work below 25MPH anyway, neither does ABS for the most part.
There is a difference between Traction control, and Stability control. However, if you're under 25MPH, it doesn't work. At 15MPH, the car won't even bother to try. |
