SS 1LE vs. ZL1 1LE suspension
What are the differences between the suspension of the SS 1LE and the ZL1 1LE suspension and brakes? I’ve been searching but cannot find a definitive answer? I apologize if this has already been answered I cannot find anything.

The SS 1LE uses MRC shocks. The ZL1 1LE uses DSSV shocks. Also, the ZL1 1LE replaces some bushings with aluminum, if I remember right.

SS 1LE has MagRide, probably similar to the ZL1.

Think of it like this,
Regular SS ZL1 and SS 1LE are roughly the same in terms of suspension/brakes, a significant step up from the SS. The ZL1 is far more than just a blower on the engine, but the SS 1LE is basically the ZL1 minus the engine, also a bit better balanced with less weight up front. A few details are slightly different due to the difference in weight between the two. Then ZL1 1LE at the top as the most track-focused.

When I searched Dssv I was able to find the difference. It seems they can be purchased and installed but I’m sure it would cost a fortune and not really worth it unless it’s going to be used mostly or completely for track. Still nice that they offer them in the Chevrolet performance catalog. Thanks for the info.

That’s actually less than I expected it to be but probably not a good idea for a car that is mostly driven on the street. Especially California streets.

While the SS 1LE has the upgraded Corvette Z06 brakes, they are slightly different than the ZL1 or ZL1-1LE. The front calipers on the ZL1 models are different and the front rotors are different as well.
If my memory is right, the front spring rates are different from the SS to the ZL1 because of extra weight of the supercharger. The rear diff is the same for all 3 models other than the axles are different and the calibration for the eLsd is different. Other than that as said the ZL1-1LE uses the DSSV shocks and has different bushings than the SS 1LE and the ZL1.

The Zl1 1LE also has the adjustable camber plates and the SS 1LE/ZL1 does not.

That doesn't include MRC delete boxes or anything like that. I'm not sure what trim of Camaro you're looking at getting. But if you install ZLE suspension on something with MRC for example, there are other things needed.
