The pins can be accessed from the shifter hole, but only once the tranny is dropped. Even if you can reach them before then, you'll never get the shifter in or out through that hole.

Tip for the spring loaded pins, pull fast once the pin is depressed, that way you don't have to depress the pins twice to fully remove.

I'm not in a hurry, so I don't mind waiting. He did say that they would put a notice up on the website if they decided to abandon the project. He knows there are tons of fans waiting, and they know about the forums but he says they will not release a half assed product. It's gotta be up to their quality, or not at all.

Bumping this back up with the bad news. Sucks cause I had one in my C7 and it was a freakin' work of art. Rifle bolt slick.

From MGW themselves: "Sadly we are not going to offer one. We just could not get enough clearance between the driveshaft and tunnel for a race spec shifter."
