is my rear half shaft broken?

I started hearing a knocking noise from the rear end after my first track day with this camaro SS. I checked the bolts connecting to the rear differential, and they are still tight with the colored marks still matching lines. I pulled on the half shaft while i was replacing the rear diff fluid and it has just a tiny bit of play. Anyone else experience this?

I probably blame it on the stiff BMR trailing arm while taking tight corners at speed on the track, most likely putting a heavy load on the half shaft.
