Thanks! Playing guitar and jamming in a few bands I love playing the Beach Boy's 409 and most of their early songs. I'm a horrible song writer but have always been trying to think of ways to update their car songs to modern tech - best I've gotten so far was for Shut Down replacing "fuel injected Stingray and a 413" with "direct injected Stingray and 'Stang Saleen" - and Deputy Dog's little snippet did the trick!

Agreed, I have been driving sporty cars of different makes for 42 years and the Camaro is at the top of the list. The (Gen 6) Camaro is one of the best looking, fastest and best handling Camaros ever. Mine only has the V6 and it doubles as my economy car, only it is worlds better than any economy car for practically the same price, if not cheaper.

Agree totally. I have a several real minor gripes, but overall I love it. The handling, the shifting, the balls that engine has even without a charger unit... Can't wait to get my hands on a ZL1.
I have always thought they were more aesthetically pleasing than most other sport cars from Ford or Dodge but I seem to see WAY more Mustangs, Chargers and Challengers on the roads daily than I do Camaro. |

This car is, objectively speaking, the best I've ever owned.
The only drawbacks, if I have to find them, are that the car is almost too advanced. My old Z28 was so easy to break open and work on, I knew every inch of that car because I did every bit of maintenance and every repair. I was comfortable having fun with it, because I knew I could handle whatever happened to it. Almost feel like I have to baby this a bit more to avoid a big repair bill. That's cars in general though, not just a Camaro thing. This car is faster, louder, more comfortable, and infinitely safer though. |

I've been through two Mustangs, a Challenger and a Cooper S and none of them made my pulse quicken like the Camaro does. It's absolutely my favorite muscle car that I've ever owned.
They were all fine and fun in their own right, but man... the Camaro SS is something else entirely. |

In 1999 I was in my early twenties, I was in my second Camaro which was a Black 1998 Camaro SS 6-speed manual #727 and I was cruising and I just could not believe I was driving that car and I was just happy. But I met someone and got married and had a kid and it wasn’t practical anymore so it got traded in. 20 yrs later and tomorrow I am picking up a Riverside Blue A10 LT1 and I just can’t believe it. I spent a month trying to find a manual but there are not any in the Detroit area. So I started looking at the A10 and it gets so raved about I decided to get one of those. It’s gonna be a daily driver but at this point that’s fine with me.

Definitely one of the most fun cars I've owned. My C5 Corvette was more fun to drive but I did put $10K into it. Handling in the Vette was awesome. My Camaro is much faster and sounds much better though and when the A8 is not shuttering a very fun transmission. My Vette was a 6 speed with 4:10 gears so launch was a lot of fun.

So we agree 100% the ZL1 is special and very rewarding to drive and own.

the A10 is great but if you want a manual just get a used SS, plenty of the them out there - the Lt1 front end is too plain for me

IMO the 6th gen Camaro in general is great car, especially at it's price point. The thing that really impresses me is how much better it is than the 4th gen. I own both, and while my 2000 SS is much crazier and faster (about 700 hp) my little 6th gen V6 is leaps and bounds better in just about every other way. So much so that it makes me feel like both these cars can't be Camaros lol

My 2018 SS 1LE will absolutely go down as one of my most favorite cars to own. It certainly isn't the fastest car I've ever owned but, the chassis and handling dynamics were amazing. Certainly a home run from a performance perspective.
