2.75 vs 3 inch exhaust
I am ready to order the Stainless Works Redline axleback and they have two options : stock 2.75 connection and 3 in case I decide to add their headers. I am not sure which one to pick.
From what I understand it makes sense to get the 3 inch version and use a reducer for now, and when I am ready to get headers, then it will be plug n play right? is 3 inch the standard for aftermarket exhausts? |

Id go 2.75 that can always be expanded to marry up to the mid pipe and header set up later on down the road. One crap company (cough AWE) uses/used a crap reducer setup on their 3" axle back and it was pure garbage that I ended up having to have welded.

Thanks! Are there any negatives (loss of hp/ pressure) in sending the exhaust fumes into a smaller axle back (3 > 2.75?), or am I nitpicking? Just trying to gauge if this is important at any point.

Only when you’re running big power.
