I have the same wheels. I wash my car frequently though so it never gets bad. I also often clean the wheels by hand with cloth and cleaner.

Black wheels remind me of my winter set-up with black steel wheels.

It's been quite a while since you cleaned those wheels. You're gonna have to try a little harder, regardless of any "quick fixes"

I recommend go on adams polishes website and buy some sealant. That is what I do. I seal my wheels each time after I wash my car. keeps most of the brake and road dust down. and makes it so easy to rinse it off between washes. I use the wheel cleaner to clean them and quick sealant or H20 G&G to seal them. which ever one I have on hand

Your other option is to change the brake pads to a Carbotech type pad.
will cleaning the rim get rid of the coating?? Lets say i put soap and shine the wheel up..

And I think those rims that GM puts out in black look so freaking bad. They have a cheap look to them, not sure why.
