Perfect! I'll take one now! Put me on the list. I want a 2016 Camaro #002 LS376 (525/489)

I'm crossing my fingers for a Twin Turbo v6 or 4 cylinder at around 3200 pounds.
With the Twin 6 pushing close to 380 stock or the 4 with 360 I think Chevy would be blowing those new Mustangs off the road. |

LS3, as is in the new lighter chassis would be fine with me. The LS3 has great power curves for both torque and hp, and no AFM or VVT. Maybe GM will offer the LS3 for the first couple of model years.

You know I really love the NA V8, but the new TT V6 cars out there are very nice. Look at the new M3 and ATS-V, they make so much torque down low that with the same or less HP they are quicker than similar V8s. The only question I have is will they have heat soak issues at the track? That is why I love the V8s, you can run all day without issues.

Yeah, Tadge Juechter did an online Q&A session after the Z06 was and stated that they tried an LTx 7.0 liter. When they built it how they hoped, it out produced the LS7 but failed to meet emissions standards. When they built it to meet emissions standards, it produced less than the LS7.

What Engine would you be happiest to see?
Anything that would take on the Challenger's 707. That motor is insane...

While paying attention to the competition with respect to horsepower may be good for longevity of the brand, I don't think Chevrolet should spend too much time fixated on what I would consider as "small goals" if you will. I would say that Chevrolet should spend time time considering the direction of their vehicles going into the future. Sort of how the rumor mill is churning with the idea that the new Corvette will be mid engine instead of it's current layout. I'm not saying that the same should be done for a Camaro but the idea of a twin turbo six, like the one going into the ATS-V, would be an astounding step in the right direction.
Keep a N/A V8 for the purisits and toss in a special edition model such as that. To sweeten the deal even more, make it all-wheel-drive. It's funny because on the Mustang side of the fence, when some of us considered the idea of an EcoBoost 3.5TT in a Mustang, that was considered blasphemy but it seems to be somewhat well received on this end. Lets hope something like this comes to pass. Factory boost is always a good thing.
