Rock guard brand recommendations?

Hey all. While I'm waiting (and praying) on an allocation, I'm trying to do some research on various add ons, including rock guards. If you have them, what brand do you have installed and have you found it helpful? What would you recommend? Off hand, I know there's:
  1. GM OEM
  2. ACS (corrected from "ABS")
  3. Rokblokz
  4. ZL1 Addons
  5. EOS

As background, we have a place out in the country down a two mile dirt and gravel forestry road. I don't plan on making regular trips out with the Camaro (that's what the Jeep is for), but want to have as much protection as I can. Also going to install some PPF, but given the situation I think I'm going to need both.

Thanks in advance.

ACS composites is another option you may want to consider.

I can’t speak for the other brands, but I did GM OEM on my Camaro and they look the best IMO. Rock coverage is adequate. I did Rokblokz on the wife’s Mustang and have to say I was worried about how they looked before I put them on, it turned out to be a non-issue. And the coverage is excellent.

I've used EOS on 2 6th gen Camaros. They are just knock-off ACS and made of ABS and they don't provide instructions but I don't think they are needed. They provide some rivets, but you would need your own tool. I used Poly rivets and they hold up well, even to track abuse.

1. Does not work with ZL1 style side skirts, hardly any protection
2. Very expensive and offers less protection than mudflap style guards
3. These are what I run now, best value and protection overall, see my "review" here
4. I used to have these, they are flimsier and the front attachment method is subpar
5. Never seen these, but they seem to be ACS lookalikes without the high price (the rear pieces look tiny, though)

I am with arpad on this. I installed the Rokblokz and I am very satisfied. They are easy to fit, offer the protection you are looking for, come at a great price and their customer service is unparalleled. I had them on my Mustang as well and I was very satisfied.

$15 will give you more effective rock protection on the front that anything else but you sacrifice some cosmetics. I've used ZL1 addon's which are fine on the rear but they're too short on the front by an inch or two.

I have the gm molded rock guards installed with the EOS side skirts. This not only looks like it belongs but offers good protection.

I bought the GM set and had them custom-painted to match my Sharkskin Metallic body. I just haven't worked up the guts to install them yet LOL! I'm not worried about the backs, I'm worried about the fronts and the rivet tool. Hopefully installation will go smoothly.

I dunno guys, i had these stock GM rock guards on my 2LT, and not only are they very expensive, the protection they offer is next to nothing. You have to rivet them, meaning they will stay there forever or you're looking at bondo on your fenders. They may be worth something in terms of stopping rocks when coupled with side skirts, but then I'm not sure they are compatible with side skirts in the first place...

...anyway, the Rokblokz I have now may look like glorified mudflaps (with a pretty nice edge bead, oh yeah), but they are much wider and taller, they're 100% reversible and damage free, even the fronts attach with plastic push clips along with a plastic edge cut instead of hard metal claw clips like some other flaps.

Rokblokz is what I went with. Only thing is I wish they extended down another .5-1". ACS looks great, but as usual way overpriced.

I bought the zl1 addons deluxe front and rear ones back in 2019. They are the only ones I've ever ran so I can't speak to any of the other ones, but for the $80 that I paid for them at the time I like them. I am a big supporter of rock guards, no matter what brand you get. Attached is a pic I took yesterday when I threw my drag pack on for this weekend, but you can see the rock guards pretty well.
