DRL replacement

Hi,
How do you remove & replace the DRLs on a 2019 ZL1?

They come out of the back of the front bumper.
1. Remove the front wheels.
2. Remove the front part of the fender liners including the part that goes up to the front spoiler.
3. Fold the fender liner down. You should have enough access to get to the DRL.

Hi Chev133!,
you'll have to take the front bumper apart in order to access the DRLs.

See you!,

You also have an Aussie ZL1? I notice you're in Melbourne. I also have one of your RHD ZL1s. Imported it to Thailand. I currently have my bumper off as I'm finally beginning to Install my interchiller from FI. And I don't have any DRL's. I have seen that they are reasonable in the states, about 100 USD. but I think I'll also need the Wiring harness to support the lights. So I've been looking into this since my bumper is currently off. I dont actually need them to be DRL's, just rocker switch fog lights would be fine. Anything other than these stupid looking plastic blockers that are currently in the DRL light spots. I cant believe HSV was so "cheap" on this. Anybody on this forum that has done this before, your input would be greatly appreciated.

The bumper doesn't have to be removed to remove the day time running lights. See my above post.

Yeah, I saw your post of course. But for the interchiller I do need the bumper off. I'm also considering modifying the canards I bought. Originally, I wanted and already bought the canards and the ZLE vents. However, After looking at the canards right next to the bumper, "I FEEL" like they are way too large to aesthetically look good. They are functional pieces and I understand that. But I'm wanting the look. Moreover, here in Bangkok, the passing motorbikes will clip them all the time.

Lastly, and after thinking about your post. You might be able to replace the DRL's without removing the bumper. But how are you going to wire them. We have no harnesses AT ALL. That is why I'm asking here, and will shortly make a thread about if anybody has wired up the DRLs from a ZL1 that had the DRL optioned out. Where do I plug the harness into? I have no idea (I will look at the surrounding area to see if I can spot it. Or if somebody has their bumper off or has had their bumper off, where do I plug the DRL harness into?

HSV would have removed the DRLs because of Australian laws. Some idiot with nothing else to do but remove them for some reason.
Have you had a good look to see if HSV has cable tied the plug somewhere? It would have been delivered to HSV with the working DRLs. Eagle spares in dandynong in Victoria are selling the ones HSV removed.
If there is no plug, maybe they can be wired to the amber light on the wheel arch?
