2017 ZL1 with an odd 'clunk' noise
As the title says my ZL1 has developed an odd, intermittent 'clunk/knock' sound. It sounds like its coming from the front drivers side, definitely from the front.
It doesn't seem to have anything to do with steering or steering angle, and not much to do with hitting bumps in the road. I can't feel it through the steering wheel. After I parked I opened the hood and grabbed and shook everything I could, no clunk, I also grabbed and shook the drivers side front wheel, no sound. Any Ideas? Sway bar endlinks are loose. Happens to almost all of us. Dealer will take care of it. Design doesn't prevent loss of torque pre-load well so that is the reason why it occurs. The value they will torque it to is higher than stock and mine has been fine ever since (including doing track days afterward).

Got rid of the video.
I took the car to a shop I trust, the drivers side sway bar end link was loose. Thanks |

It's fairly easy to torque but dealer can also take care of it . I've created this a while ago:

The shop is walking distance from work and they have a lift so I had them do it. Thanks again! |
