Got my msd wires and hight temp boots installed a few months ago and no problem. Went to wash car saturday and as i was about to get on freeway to dry off car car started running rough and check engine light and stabiltrack light came on so i pulled over. No leaks nothing hanging not sure what was going on. Limped home used my codeready and P0137 i believe was the code popped up misfire on cylinder 7.



Shot a photo to my tuner and he said check the driver side back plug wire and sure as shit it was hanging off the coil. Alot of curse words and about an hour later i had to fixed and i made sure to hear the click this time anybody else have the same problem?? thanks guys

I had that issue when a while back when i was getting tuned but it was the rear passenger wire that had become loose after a wot pull. I wish they had a more audible or feelable clicking sound when pushing them on, but havent had a problem since.

yea it was weird it was right after i did a pull on the streets also and mine was driver side rear and yea i heard the click this time which is good well see what happens

I have these wires and have had zero issues for a year now. Hopefully it was a freak incident for ya

i noticed they are short. i check mine once a week. haven’t had any come off but they will frequently back off a click. i’m going to check lengths vs some LS wires and see if i can get some that are a bit longer.

to be fair i basically only drive it on the weekends and i check a lot of things beforehand. it sees a lot of...spirited driving, gotta make sure everything is kosher.

Wire was probably never 100% on all the way in the first place. Unless you use some dielectric grease on the coil and spark plugs, they are hard to get to snap on.

i didnt do the install a local shop did and it did have grease on both sides i popped it back on and heard a click so its all good now well see what happens


been like 3 months since i had it installed and i dont drive much either only on weekends so kinda weird happen after i did a pull also btw

Well, back in the day they used to say if you had plug wires popping off the plug that you had detonation, but I doubt that is going on
