What does your car trap in the 1/4mi?

What Mike said. Dork how are you calculating almost 800 on the street if you haven't been on the dyno? Most can't hook up 600 to 700 and yours hooks with almost 800? Must be a hell of a rear tire. My Camaro made well above that and it was still spinning well past a 100 mph on street tires. Wish I'd have known about those tires, maybe it would have quit spinning before 100 mph

Hasn't been to the track on the new configuration yet (went forged internals, cam, headers, and more boost) - but last year on SBE / 9lbs of boost / stock cam / stock manifolds and E85 it would run 11.1s with a 2.1 60' (traction was god awful - even with 555Rs). Covid has had all the tracks in MN and Wi closed.
The setup with lower compression - more cam - more boost really has smoothed out the power delivery. I used to be able to get it rolling but once boost came on at 4000rpm it was all wheel spin in first and second. Only ever saw 1.9s once. Did a bunch of chassis work too - BMR poly cradle mounts, single adjustable arms, Tilton clutch, etc...... I have 17x10 Street S/S Mickeys too, but run the bridgestones on the 1LE wheels as I do some autocross with the car too. The cornering is pretty much as good as the Supercar F1 3s, but the strait line grip on the RE-71s is pretty damn good for a 200TW tire. It spins - but it doesn't just go up in smoke. But they are better on the street than the 555Rs ever were (and they are a "drag radial" supposedly) Power wise - it was on the dyno for tuning in March. Previous configuration was 702whp at 6800rpm, this year I was having belt slip issues (it is pulleyed for max effort on the Novi 1500) so it would get to 10lbs of boost at 5500rpm and slip all the way to 6800 (boost wouldn't go up past 5500). Peak that afternoon was at 741hp at 5800rpm. New tensioner, RPM belt and GripTec pulley (took 2 months to get the pulley as they have never made one for the Vortech Camaro kit yet) and we are pumping 195kpa/13lbs at 6700 on my logs. Tuner had to dial in the tune on the street given we were waiting for the pulley until last minute. Just haven't had time to get it on the dyno. But I have to think we are getting 60-80whp out of 3lbs (being it is E85 and a intercooler)

I think the combination of cam / lower CR / more boost comes on a lot smoother than my previous configuration. I think the centrifugal on the stock cam really made it have a lot of "powerband" in 4000rpm area. I had the car step out on me at over 100mph in 3rd gear under full boost last summer. Yea - my Mickeys are a dead hook, but if I resist the urge to stomp on it and roll into the gas with a light feather, these tires are pretty decent for a Road Course tire. I have a friend with a 2015 S550 Auto, has a Gen 2 whipple on it with Gen 3 rotors. Car is verified at 750 wheel. Seen that car step out at 60mph downshifting to second with Street R's on it. That PD blower makes all that boost so hard down low. Comparing my configuration to you guys with PD setups might be apples vs hand grenades. Before 4500 the graphs from last year to this year are near identical (same dyno) but after the lines diverge. Makes more torque at 5400 than it did at 6800 last year.

They do this on the head units that spin the higher RPMs than the SL units as they use ceramic bearings and the harmonics with the cogged drive can damage the bearings I am hoping my belt slip situation is as good as it can get with the GripTech pulley (I have the first one they have made for the ECS/Vortech setup. Now that it is on there, I am going to go from a RPM belt to a Green belt as they tend to not stretch as much as the RPM belt

I am familiar with ECS from my C5 corvette days. However, ECS does not make a Smog compliant kit. So I went with their competitor (A&A Corvette), who makes a great kit. However, they do not make a kit for Camaros. I talk with the owner, and he simply said their are no plans for it. As much as I like Centri supercharger applications. Perhaps a PD like Magnusen is a better application in California. |

As far as passing a emissions test, I am dead in the water if they went back to emissions testing here

Using 130mph, a weight of 4020 (with me in it and 10 gal of fuel) according to the wallace calculator is 680hp. Being the DA was near 3500' that day, it is probably relevant
