2010 RS Intake Manifold Help
I was curious if anyone had a step out on removing the intake manifold on a 2010 Camaro RS? I know the basics and all that, but am more curious to know if you need to drain the coolant or not and what the torque pounds are on bolting. I have nee intake manifold with a plenum spacer im putting on and know some cars you have to drain the coolant. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

There is no need to drain the coolant to remove the intake manifold. There are six bolts on top, the brake booster hose, the throttle body has four little bolts(don't unplug the electrical connection) the PCV hose just pulls out and the evap. hose. Those are the things that need to be removed.

You will need the torque specs & I don't have those handy. They are also supposed to be tightened in a certain order if I recall correctly. I have a hard copy out in my garage but someone on C5 sent them to me. The back bolt is a PITA to remove. We had a bendable universal socket to attach to help but it was still hard. Hopefully someone has the torque specs handy & can send them to you. If not I can take a pic of the copy I have & send it but not going out there tonight. Did it not come with installation instructions?

Thank you for all the help. I just wanted to be sure as i know some cars you have to drain the fluid. Yeah i was going to get a haynes manual or the other but i have to order it as they dont have them at the store. No manual, this is just a spare i bought from someone that has a plenum spacer on it already.
