1LE Wicker Bill

I've been considering installing the ZL1addons wicker bill, but I wanted to see if anyone else who has done it had any negative feedback about it. For the most part, the installation. From what I have seen, it's fairly easy to mess up when installing. Any tips would be much appreciated.

I would go absolutely insane if I could see dirt between the wickerbill and the spoiler that I would need to remove the damned thing to get at.

Are you looking for more drag?

I had a wicker bill on my 2014 Camaro, from ZL1Addons. It collected a lot of dirt and grime between the wicker bill and the spoiler. Each time I washed the car, I had to take the wicker bill off and clean up all the spots between. Despite this, I still think it looks awesome and would have to have one on my 6th gen. Although I don’t want to get just that and upset the balance of the car. I’d like to offset that with a different chin spoiler or extension.

I just ordered the OEM style wickerbill from ZL1 addons, should be here Friday. I think I'm going to get some black silicone and fill the small gap/crevice between the OEM blade and this wickerbill to keep the dirt out. Figured it will be easy to pull it off if/when I want to.

I used 3m tape. And disposed of the smoked center section.. it's pretty much just for looks anyway..i would also suggest rivets rather than the inserts that come with the kit..they dont seat well.

I have the factory GM Wickerbill on my Z/28 (was already installed by the dealer when I located and bought the car) .

While I do like the looks of it for uniqueness, it does block the already limited view out of the gun slit-sized rear window and definitely adds more drag.

Depends what you want so I say go for it if you want it!

I have their WickerBill now installed on my 1LE. I previously installed it on my 2016 Chevy SS. While the very first install was nerve racking ( drilling into the spoiler of a 50k car) I got through it with zero problems.

I installed the Bill two weeks ago. drilling into the spoiler this time was painless.
if you watch Lethal Camaro's install video it will instill confidence in you.

Yes it does collect dirt, but this is a track car, not a garage queen (For me at least),
to clean everything completely it needs to be unbolted or used the recommended 3m black tape or silicone.

As for the drag, I have the Dive planes, fender extensions, and the wicker bill. I feel a difference at higher speeds. Most people will argue otherwise but most people also don't know what to be feeling for.

Just make sure to take your time, get familiar with the rivnut gun and how hard you need to squeeze because you can squeeze to hard and crack your spoiler.
use painters tape to mark your holes, and the recheck the three center holes before you drill. drill SLOW and apply light pressure, you can quickly tear things up.

If you need help just PM me.

I appreciate it man. If/when I decide to do this, I will definitely send you a message.

The rear bumper of my car collects so much dirt now from the low pressure area behind the car, I couldn't imagine adding to that with a wicker bill on the 1LE spoiler.
You'll have trash, leaves, and cigarette butts stuck to your rear bumper.

Here is my old 1LE with the wicker. I personally loved it. Sure, it blocked a bit of view out the back and got dirty easily, but I loved its uniqueness. I think most either love it or hate it. Heres a few pics....
