Pulled The Trigger Today!!!

I just traded my 17 HBM convertible and I pulled the trigger today on a new 18 Vert !!! GM bumped up my GM card earnings with a bonus of 2K over my earned amount, that was due to expire today if it wasn't used. In addition to that I received a 2K conquest rebate for owning a non GM product a 1K select market bonus and $3250 in rebates. Even though my 17 Vert was just 9 months old with only 11.4K miles
I pulled the trigger as it was just too good a deal to pass up! Nearly 9K in rebates alone!!! A tough decision but I went with another Hyper Blue Metallic as i love this electric blue on the Camaro and I'm not sure what the new blue on the refresh will look like in person. The refresh itself didn't play a role in my decision to buy an 18 as while I'm not crazy over the new SS front end I do like the refreshed RS front facia and the new tail lamps on the upcoming 19 models.

Pics coming soon.... the new car is a 2018 version of the 2017. Only adds are optional silver painted wheels and the tech package. The 18 has $1K more in options than the 17 and I was out the door for just $2,900 with the trade and all the rebates. I planned to wait for a new refreshed 19 but with the GM card bonus $ this deal was just too good to pass up!

That they are but my 17 was pushing 12K miles and I went up a year with a brand new car with a fresh warranty and $1,000 more in optional equipment that I wanted for just $2,900 out the door. I had a gift from GM of a $2,000 bump on my GM card points that expired July 2 if I didn't use it so I pulled the trigger. It was pretty much a no brainer as next year at this time I will be well ahead of the depreciation game if I decide I want a 19 refresh model.

Under normal circumstances no it wouldn't be. But with 2 grand free money on my GM card that was about to expire and a total of just under 9 grand in rebates bringing the new car with a grand more options out the door at $2,900 with my trade who wouldn't? It was a no brainer.....

Seems like throwing cash out the window to me. Granted your car will be worth slightly more than the 17 a year from now, but the difference isn't likely to be $2900 or more, especially when a refresh model is out. Definitely not a no brainer.

With that said, if it makes you smile when you walk up to it, then who really cares.
