SS Front Badge Removal

2017 Vert. Looking to remove my front SS badge from the grill. After I removed the badge, there is a backing plate that it is attached to. It appears that it's molded in with the grill. I can not figure it out, I tried to work with it and it won't budge. Here are some pics, does this look familiar to anyone, has anyone removed this plate, is so, how did you do it. Thx.

I de-badged mine this week. Took a long hard look at the front SS emblem, even got out the Opti-Visor to see if maybe it was a bracket that was painted over. It really looked like it is integrally molded into the grill.

So I only de-badged the side emblems and rear SS.

That's weird. Mine came off as a clip on unit.
Is your grille chrome or is it just the glossyness?

I’m wondering if mine was painted over...

Nah...just reflection.

I've yet to see any clips...maybe we should post this in the "Ask Al" section.

Look at this diagram, particularly at item 9 & 10.

This is how mine is held on. Clips from the back, I haven't seen my old grille in a while, so I forget how it looks like where it attaches.

OP has a 50th Anniversary Edition with the SEMA grill, which is different from the standard SS grill.

Yep...same one I have. Pretty sure it's molded on. Must have looked it over at least a dozen times. It has no backing plate.
