Thanks.. i know that buzzing isn't normal.. dealer of course couldn't replicate noise so they didn't fix anything and warranty is out today.

I am quite sure it is the secondary cats making the noise. Maybe they are going bad? They did mention the cats have a longer warranty. I suppose more incentive to get long tube headers and high flow cats?...!!

I did some more driving today. If i accelerate at a nor.al pace thru the gears, no noise. The noise only happens if I stomp the gas pedal and the superchargers engages. The noise goes away after 3k RPM.. it is seriously noticeable if I skip shift from 1st to 4th and accelerate harder than normal.

I am at a lost now until I get headers and see if that changes. Maybe it is the exhaust leak i have on the x pipe making noises and the sounds travels towards the cat? I am getting a new x pipe and mufflers on Tuesday . We shall see.

I am so over this car.. issue after issue.. i am getting to the point of getting ready to sell...

Hopefully the new parts will straighten out the problem. Hang in there with the ZL1. It’s an awesome Camaro for the money.

Maybe the wife left her vibrator on in the trunk? Just a thought..

New Xpipe and mufflers are in. Buzzing still there.. oh well.. it is what it is. I have other more important things to deal with in this car so that will be dealt with later

Does anyone think the buzzing could be one of the front cats having internal structure breakdown? Is there a way I can check the condition of the inside of the cats without removing them?

You might need to find a set of chassis ears to attach under the car in areas to isolate the noise. If it doesn't make any noise in park or brake torquing it, then I can't think of another way to pinpoint where it's coming from.

You could unhook an O2 sensor and push in an endoscope camera.

Noise only happen under load at certain low to mid rpms.

I swear that it is coming from right under the area where the cats are. I have tried to smack the heat shields but I don't find anything loose... My second cats were replaced under warranty since my xpipe was leaking so I know thatd not the problem..

Maybe the front cats? I will eventually plan to run headers and hi flow cats so I have been like whatever but it just really pisses me off lol.. though this car has taught me to be more accepting and letting go of the minor stuff and enjoy what I have.
