LT headers

Just installed a set of Kook's LT headers' 1 7/8's on my 17 ZL1. Have used them in the past on many cars. Mine and others. Passenger side was "ok" driver side was a biaoch to get in. I hate to think what a pain the 2" would have been.

Performance seems to be good so far without tune as of today.

The key is to cam the car.

That way the motor is out of the way and they go in with zero issues

Yeah lol. I am just a working ass guy still paying for college crap lol.

I do want to say with the Roto Fab CAI, ported Tony Mamo TB and Kook's headers no codes after 100 miles on the LT's plus the 700 with the CAI and TB.

Car feels strong as f*ck lol

You do plan on tuning ASAP right? Very dangerous IMO to run without a tune, especially with the other little things you've done. Some could say the intake helps to balance the headers, but you could also say that it's changes on both ends of the engine and the computer has no idea what's happened. Good luck, but there's a chance you're doing damage and I would NOT recommend beating on it/hooning it or running it hard.

Just normal street driving. Tune coming soon.

If it were lean or rich it would set codes. Nothing much else changes.

Right because similar AFRs means nothing much changed in the engine's way of doing things.

Getting tuned as soon as the overdrive pulley shows up but my mods are not earth shattering by any means. A bit more air flow in, a bit more exhaust flow out. I have catted headers so no codes for that even.

All engines are basically air pumps. I have increased the efficiency of mine BUT its nothing that is going to cause a problem if I drove it like this forever. The tune just maximizes the extra flow on both sides.

The extra boost, well yes that will have to be addressed.

Guess Vengeance racing is to busy for my money. Can't get them to answer my emails.

That would be cool. I know Ron from his start back in the early 2000's before he was involved in the 427 4th gen builds.

Helped us with hints on dropping out the sub frames out of 4th gens back when I worked in Snellvile.

I think Mike was tuning back in those days ?

Left a email on the contact page about 10 days ago. Have heard nothing back.

Thanks, Ken

Ken I am pretty sure you have my cell # and our shop #? What contact page did you use to send an email? We have seen a few instances where customers had not updated their browser in some time and they are still being directed to our old website? David/Robert and myself answer emails daily and do our best to have replies to all within 24 hours, if not less most of the time.

Always happy to help my friend and NEVER too busy!
