Stock 376 ci vs 377 ci

I was wondering why do companies make a 377 ci lt1 or what is the difference compared to a stock lt1 376 ci. Also why is the zl1 same ci size as the lt1 buy can handle and produce way more power. I know the zl1 has a forge bottom end. But if thats the case then can we put the same forged bottom end onto the lt1?

A 377 will just represent a very small overbore to fit the new pistons, but the stroke is the same.

LT4 only makes more power because of the blower, not the long block. Just add some drop-in forged pistons and rods to your LT1 block and you’ll be good.

Yep the blower and the fuel system is what helps the ZL1 make more power the forged bottom end is just the extra icing on the cake

Yea but why can the lt4 produce more then 850 hp without machine work whilst the lt4 needs to have work done in order to get more then 800??

The LT4 pistons are forged while the LT1 pistons are cast...
