Anyone done V-Bands on their axle-back?

I’ve noticed all the systems use slip-joints & that some folks have complained about leaks (my first thought).

I’ll be ordering the Borla S-Type for my car soon & have some V-bands laying around.

Has anyone else gone this route?

Add: Anyone have a site sponsor they recommend for Borla systems?

Has it been leaking?

What about getting rid of that crushed pipe under the diff? The drivers side looks pretty straight forward but the pass. side has a bend integrated right where the crimp begins, looks to be about a 30degree angle.

My plan was to cut it right at the crimp to add a set of V-bands there then cut the Borla where it flairs up for another set of V-bands.

Don’t worry about the crushed part until you’re doing a full exhaust. No power loss from the crush.

I used these, way way cheaper than the Vibrant and just as nice (I've used Vibrant in the past): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Those are 3”. Were you doing a complete 3” system or did you have the stock pipe expanded.

not leaking much at all. I just really like v-bands ( I used to build a lot of custom exhaust and turbo setup back many years ago.)
And yes, Im going to remove the crushed section of pipe also... I know that it doesnt make a power difference, but I just dont like how it looks..LOL

You & I could be friends. I love v-bands, especially self aligning ones, & yeah, same on the crushed pipes.
