Fuel pump voltage booster install questions
In preparation for some mods this fall, those who have installed the JMS fuel pump voltage booster:
1. Where/how did you mount the unit in the trunk? 2. What route did you run the harness to the pedal? Thanks! |

For route of harness folded back seat down tucked it beside back seat then ran under trim of door sill. Mounted it on brace next to fpcm, drilled to small holes, brushed in a little primer to cover bare steel and used screws and nuts to secure it.

Here are some pics to help.
Location of booster- rear driver side quarter. Harness to throttle pedal - use fish tape to route/pull through driver side rear rear side panel down to sill plate. Route under carpet along sill plate and under driver floorboard carpet to throttle pedal to make connection. Power wires to FSCM. Drilled small hole through trunk floor plastic plug and routed wires down through to underside of vehicle to tap into FSCM. Everything concealed after install. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

I should clarify my car is a 2018 ZL1.

I'm planning on installing mine this afternoon. I got some instructions from Ted Jannetty that I can scan and send to you if you like. Instructions are at the house and I'm at work for a few more hours so I can't send them for a while. I seem to recall that the instructions were pretty thorough - several pages with color pics.

Red with purple stripe. You can either cut and splice or de-pin so you can return to stock easily. Either way, the red wire from the JMS box goes to the red/purple wire before it enters the connector. The white JMS wire (shows yellow in my picture as I had to extend the white wire since it was too short) gets pinned/fed into the connector.

It's a plug and play harness. Nothing to tap.

JMS has two versions. They have a vacuum reference version (with Hobbs switch) and a pedal position version. I am referencing the pedal position version that uses the TPS to trigger the voltage boost. Can you confirm which version you have? If you have the TPS version then the harness comes with a plug end that plugs into the drive-by-wire throttle pedal. Perhaps you have the vacuum reference version thus no pedal harness?
