I bought a brand new Camaro and CarPlay does not work at all

Hello everyone,
I bought my first Camaro 2017 LTG brand new for an awesome price here in Sonora, México.

The only anoying thing is that carplay does not work, I just receive a message that says somethin like "Connect a supported device".

I'm using an iPhone 6s Plus and an original lightning cable.

I found this info in the forum that maybe solves my problem:

I went to the GM dealer in my city but looks like I'm the first customer that requested a software update and they are contacting GM Mexico to ask for info about it. LOL

Is there a way to upgrade the software by myself?

I think you have to enable carplay on your iPhone first.

My CarPlay DOESNT Work more often than it does. iPhone 6s+, everything pored and activates, doesn’t matter which type of cord. It’s shit.

sometimes if a i remote or app start the car, when i get to the car my carplay doesn't work until I turn the car off, open the door, close the door and then restart even then its like a 50/50.

My android auto has never had a single issue, just saying.

I use carplay every single day and it's never not worked.


Android sucks.

Hola amigo yo tambien soy de Mexico, veo que tuviste el mismo problema que yo, se que ya tiene tiempo pero te pudieron resolver el problema en la agencia ? Yo recientemente me acaba de dar cuenta de este problema en mi camaro 2017 LT.
