From what I have been able to find it is 200/207 116.5+7. Which makes sense seeing that my cranking compression is 240psi. The math puts the stock DRC at 9.74. Again, with DI and VVT that makes sense also. with all of my previous LS engines I shoot for 8.8 DCR and that usually puts me right at 205-210psi cranking compression on a warm, broken in motor.

What I don't know is how well the cam phaser is working with just turning the motor over for a cranking compression test. It seems to be very steady on consistent for numbers though so it must have enough oil pressure to work.

The only real odd thing to me with these motors is how much timing they take down low and the final timing curve to get these things to run the number.

In regards to the phaser timing, what I found out before install and after install
The gen 5 has a 50 degree swing VVT and the gen 6 has a 62 degree swing in VVT. The cam phaser I got limits it to 30 degrees now and is very stable. It idles pretty good with a bit of wave timing in it, not much but it's there. Timing for VVT is great. Never really thought about it till I started talking cam and extra power. VVT and direct injection!!! Big fan off both. AFM sucks, deleted that and plug holes to keep oil pressure up and oil pressure is great.

Converter is needed, I can tell tranny feels diff from the get go. Rear end, nothing planned yet, but rear end will need some thought.

Yeah, the furthest the cam retards in any situation stock is about 23* IIRC. It does that at cruise at very light loads. I delete all that crap anyway.

I am thinking about designing some "small" cams and using phasing to make up the top end and see how they do for the stock converter guys.

A Circle D 4C will be your best friend Sir. I wouldn't worry about the rear. I think I have the 3rd quickest 60fts on the forums and the quickest N/A ones for sure with no real rear end issues that I can spot. But I change the rear end fluid when I change my engine oil.

Who does sniff tests in DFW on new cars? It's plug into the OBDII port and check for codes.

Thanks, I did not realize that, thought it was a sniff test. So basically if your car is not throwing codes, you should pass?

Yep. If on that linked page you click the link for OBDII testing, they explain exactly how what they look for.

the dealer that did my install left the stock cam phaser in the car but did the DOD delete, should I have a limiter put in, or is it fine the way it is

They should have put a 25* limiter in it. Most guys are going with 0* or 4* max limiters with cams now. The spring pressure used with aftermarket cams overcomes the phaser sometimes and causes camshaft retarding against commanded. Who ever tuned your car should have done away with the driving retard and set up the WOT retard as GM prescribes for that cam. I guess you will be fine. Consider that the GM cam has 41* more exhaust duration than the stock cam. I would have to run some math to tell you how much later it closes. Not sure if the stock phaser retard + the extra duration will cause issues. I am assuming it hasn't so far.

I had an issue at around 10,000 miles after install where there was some lifter noise and they had to install new lifters and cam. it was all under warranty so they lived up to their promise but they never really figured out what the issue was,
the car has 16,000 on it now about 4,000 since the new cam so I guess I will keep an eye on it still have 20,000 miles left so no worries here.
