Track day on near dead Goodyears
Hey guys, I just signed up for the 2nd track day of my career - first was at this year's CamaroFest! I'm doing a JZilla event at Road Atlanta in a few weeks.
I'm wondering if i should change my tires prior to the event, the tires are basically on, or a couple of mils above the wear bars. I have heard that the supercar 3's perform well even when nearly worn out. They seemed to be fine at the fest and have only a hundred or so street miles since. I would like to get one more event out of them if possible. Do you all think I will be ok? The outside edges are slick but still have the little wear depression indicators showing.

I’ld run them. I run my tires til they show chords then drive home.

You can run tires well beyond wear bars on track.
