Nitto NT555RII - No ETA

So I was going to go this weekend an get these for the rears and found out that they are on national back order...

I chatted with a Nitto rep today and asked when they would be available and I was told - No ETA.

Also, I was told these tires are made in Japan. For what it's worth.

Continentals, Michelin PS4s / PSS, Indy firehawks, bridgestones? What do you boys recommend for street use only?

I went with Toyo R888Rs for street use because of the 555R2 were on back order. They’re sticky as heck and way more stable at high speeds and corners than typical drag radials. Only drawback is they’re definitely noisier than a typical OEM tire. Always some drawback lol.

For warm dry streets, and since the 555Rii isn't available, you could do the R888R, OEM GY R3, Hoosiers, and lots of others.

For an all-around wet/dry street tire (>40F temps), the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S or the newest version.

They've been in high demand since I've been running them over the last few years. I had to wait a couple months to get my 305-35-20s. What size are you trying to find?

@laynlo15 - Looking for stock sizes.

I never drive in the rain and really only take the car out on weekends.

Wow the PS4S are expensive! The continentals look like the PS4S in tread design and tire ratings. Is it a cheaper PS4S?

Anyone run the continentals?

Even though the 555r2 is classified as a drag radial, I would classify the 555r2 as more of a stickier street tire then actual drag radial. The 555r1 was definitely more of a drag radial. The R2 has a stiffer sidewall and drives comparable to most decent street tires with a lot better grip. The r888's are also good but very noisy. Either will be a nice improvement over the factory plastic tires for grip. lol

That's why I asked about OEM wheel size because it varies by year. That's a 20 and mine is 19.

It might be my imagination, but it seems like I'm seeing a lot more 555Rii tires on the market this year.

I wonder if a 15" wheel fits my car. The 15" 325 is a lot taller than a 19" 345.
