Hopefully long enough that one of my kids can park this Fifty next to their Seventy Five.

Awhile. The only reason I'll move on from it is to move to a ZL1 or if the 7th gen is ludicrously awesome.

I'll keep mine until it becomes illegal to drive gas burners anymore and no retrofit kits are available.

7-10 years, 150-200,000 miles

Or, if they quit making the manual transmission available, until I die.

They'll have to pull my cold dead hands from my gear shift.

My goal is to keep this bad boy for a long while. My own personal rule is that if I ever buy a new car. It's going to be faster than the last, and it'll be RWD or AWD with a rear wheel bias. Beating the camaros flat 4 second and low-mid 12's is going to be hard as it is.

Yes the performance/price curve is advancing quickly for affordable cars. We have performance times only 6 figure uber exotics had not even 10 years ago.

The arguments for buying a $250,000 Ferrari are becoming fewer by the moment when a $40k Camaro can blow the doors off one from just a few years ago.

Speaking of Aston Martins and Trophy Wives... anyone else ever see that used car add for them with the supermodel looking girl that says "You know you're not the first, but do you really care?"

I love my gen6 and if I wasn't desiring to upgrade to a 2SS I'd be done as far as my personal driving machine. Ask again once I get it.

I rather have the Camaro than an Aston Martin.

my dad has had his 67 for 50 years now. Id like to do something similar.

Id maybe upgrade for another 2017 but in a ZL1 in the future. But the 50 year thing is sentimental to me.

Theoretically forever, but that's what I said about my last car. Realistically, when my future wife tells me to ditch it for something more "practical".

I'm thinking 5 years...wouldn't be surprised if I went shorter or longer by a couple years. It all depends on my next job as I am looking to make a lot more than what I make right now.

My dream is to own a 911 or GT-R...I would be certainly fine is this Camaro was my "cool car zenith" but at the very least I would like to get myself a Corvette some day.

I want to keep my cars between 6-10 years depending on what I'm looking at upgrading to since sports cars are not cheap in Canada and I don't make over 6 figures. Driving a 50k car for 10 years seems like a good idea to spread the cost out( assuming I don't have any high 4 digit repairs).

I am currently lusting over getting a new vette, however it would cost me double what the Camaro did. I will have to wait until the C8 comes out and if its just as good or better I will probably switch. 10 years is a long time though and another car could catch my eye but thats the plan right now.
