can anyone tell me what is needed to add supercharger to my 2017 V6?

can anyone tell me what is needed to add supercharger to my 2017 V6? I know there are kits but what is the max I can expect and are there cam changes, tuner kits , etc? Any good suggestions to beef up the V6 will be greatly appreciated...

All that is needed is the supercharger kit,, that's it. Your best bet will probably be the procharger v6 kit with a p1x blower upgrade. Price should be around $5K depending on the vendor. Edelbrock also offers a v6 kit for about $5K. You have 4 cams in your v6, I highly doubt you will be changing them. I would advise to go for a tuner kit and find a good tuner because the tunes included in the complete kits are garbage. I dont know their limits, but these kits are advertised as:

Procharger- 165 hp increase

Edelbrock- - 100 hp increase

I hope this information helps you.

Side note: you have 1LT, not an LT1. LT1 started in model year 2020 and they are all V8s (like mine).

...well, since you practically asked for it: why don't you get a V8 and supercharge that instead

Jokes aside, 1LEornothing already gave you the answer. V6 folks seem to favor Will at Overkill Motorsports for tuning, some mention Trifecta as a solid option, too, but I didn't have much success with them back when I had a V6 (which is only one data point, please do your own research).

They both (V6 and V8) have enough fueling for entry level kits. Anything beyond this would require fueling upgrades for either platform.

You should sit down and do the math. The money you put into a V6 supercharger kit would be better off trading in your car for a 1SS and in time Supercharge that. In the long run this the way to go IMO.

Just a thought for you.

Absolutely true, that v6 is probably worth more now than it will ever be. Then again same goes for the v8s. I'd only consider a blower for a v6 if it was a manual. A supercharged automatic v6 would be absolutely comical with that one tire fire 🤣

If you do the work yourself and could remove it before selling down the line then probably not a bad idea, but if you have to pay for labor then I'd trade up. You will lose a lot of money eventually selling down the line or pay to have it removed too. Also kit + labor + tune adds up quick and never ends. Used cars are going for a premium right now.
