I'm getting people walking up to the car all the time now with compliments. lol. The wheels and the hood wrap make it look more "racecar."

I have my skip-shift eliminator, but haven't gotten around to installing it. My standard drive-on ramps are too steep to make it up and clear my front lip. Kinda annoying TBH lol

Mods look solid so far!

Thanks man! The skip shift eliminator is a must for any m6 car. I was able to do mine with a harbor freight jack and some swearing. Disconnecting and reconnecting to the harness is easy. It's reconnecting the new harness to the sensor on the transmission that sucks! Very little room between the transmission tunnel and the tranny and it's all done by feel.

I've been doing it on ever Chevy I've had since 2000 lol.

Where exactly is it on the housing? I have a tall enough jack to do the job, I just want to make sure I'm going right for the correct spot... If you got a video I'll take it.

Its way up high on the back of the drivers side of the transmission. There's 2 sensors there and of course you want the higher one.

Oh, thought you'd like to know I finally jacked it up and handled it. What a royal PITA to fit my fat-arse fingers into that little gap. Why, GM - WHY?!

It took a long, narrow flat-head to pop it loose, and then precisely bending and aiming the connector the right direction to get it back in with some angled needle nose pliers lol.

Lol. Great to hear you got it done! They certainly make that little space specifically just close enough to get that connector out. How you liking it?

The opportunity came up last friday to take the car out on the race track. The idea of having to turn left or right is totally new to me and it was a great experience and this car, even in LT1 trim, is a really capable track machine! The base model suspension was fantastic and I couldn't find the lateral g limitations with the Kumo Ecsta tires. Only issue is the brakes were pretty much useless and burned up after about 5-2 minute laps.

Next on the mod list is to paint up the calipers. I chose the eastwood high temp red caliper paint for the job. I already have it done and waiting for some good weather to clean up the car for some nice finished pics. Overall, the eastwood paint is a good product and covers excellent on textured calipers. However, on the front smooth 4 piston brembo's, the brush marks really show. If I were to do it again, the front's would get sprayed.

Says you can spray it on - why didn't you do that? Would have made for a much nicer finish overall.

Turn harder and faster :-) You'll find 'em lol

Also, nice job actually get out on track. So many people talk about doing it, or set artificial barriers for NOT doing it, but you did. Strongly recommend at swapping brake fluid and brake pads at minimum, for safety purposes.

Mostly for time constraint and I can do it without removing the calipers. All my time right now is going to fixing up my house and dog watching. Plus all the videos I watched online were brush on.

It was nuts! We were diving into corners at over 120 mph! What's crazier is that this car is one of the fastest cars at the track and prob was in the upper 85% of the field. I got some part numbers for the front brake pads to replace with Hawk's. Part #HB787G.582 if anyone can verify. Looking for a set of rear track pads currently if anyone has any recommendations.
