Got my 315/35/17 Hoosiers today. Pics compared to 305/45 MTs
Tires look nice. Definitely much shorter than the et street r 305/45/17. A bit wider but also less sidewall. Looking at them I am sure they will hook great.

How wide is the rim your putting it on? Also I dont remember if your gonna run a 26 in the front as well. Tire looks real wide should hook nicely.

It's only a 9.5 rim. Which is a bit small for a 315. But according to Hoosier 9.5 is ok with this tire. Not sure if you can tell from the pic but the bead cuts in abnormally far from the sidewall. At least to me it looks like it does. Iceberg is also running a 9.5 and has had no problems with several passes.
If you haven't ordered yet I would go with the 10.5 for this tire if you got a choice. You'll have better contact Yes I got a 26 for the front as well. M&H 26x4.5-17. DOT rated bias and only 12 lbs each. My current 28x6-17 MT radial front is 20 lbs. not bad 16 lb loss in the front. The rears are also 25 lbs compared to the 305 MT at 30. So another 10 lbs. all in all 25lbs of rotating mass dropped and a gearing improvement. Should deliver I'm hoping. http://www.hoosiertire.com/assets/Dr...%2030%2017.pdf Page 3 you'll see the 315/35/17 and listing 9-11 inch rim as acceptable Also here https://m.summitracing.com/parts/hoo-17332dr2 Last edited by ULTRAZLS1; 09-22-2017 at 10:29 PM. |

Im absolutley going with a 10.5 rim The only thing that worries me is the whole pulling the fuses with the 26's and losing power steering. I will end up driving my setup on the street when I take the car out for some action from time to time so for me its not 100% track exclusive setup. Im planning on installing TPMS in all 4 wheels.

Other than that no need to pull the fuse and the 26 is fine. After you drive 20 miles the system gives up. You still get a light but nannies can be turned off. With getting tpms for the drag pack you'll have no worries either I also drive on my drag pack from time to time as well |

No problem. That's how I last understood it from iceberg. He just pulled the abs fuses to prevent the tpms warning from causing problems if he had switched to the no tpms drag pack right before running. Could happen with any size tire.
I was thinking though.... If you have your tpms installed on your drag pack and air down your tires at the strip... and get a low pressure warning. This could prevent you from turning off stabilitrac. As I talked about my car would not allow me to turn off all nannies with a low pressure warning. It only let me after about 20 miles and the system realized tpms was not active and the low pressure warning was gone (I have no tpms in my drag pack) So from my experience no problems arise from no tpms after 20 miles or so and the car accepts it. Even after a restart it was fine today. I could still disable nannies. A low pressure warning will prevent stabilitrac from being turned off and my car felt down on power. Just a heads up for you. You could possibly have problems airing down your DR with tpms installed... |

I am pretty sure that's not a drag tire...
Edit: I see drag radial. Carry on.

The 315s don't have any rubbing issues? I'm going to sell my ET Street R and Racestar 17x10.5 combo after street car takeover this weekend and getting forgestar f14 drag wheels to match my street wheels. Trying to decide between et street r's again or the hoosiers
