Ebay 1LE wheels

Anyone have experience with those wheels, the gun metal grey ones? I know.... sacrilegious idea but just curious.

I put some replica wheels on my older truck about 12 years ago and they had some light wobbling to them. It bugged the heck out of me too

Same here with my previous car, a C5 Corvette. Took it to a tire shop and they told me I needed centering rings. Nobody could tell me the proper rings so I just lived with it. Bugged the sh__ out of me too. I will never buy aftermarket wheels again.

Other than genuine 1LE wheels your best bet would be to get a new set of MRR 1LE replicas.

My rule with ebay is I only buy things I'm okay if I don't mind if it suddenly fails without warning.

If wheels failing without warning wouldn't bother you, I'd pick up a set.

I bought my MRR M017 Gun Metal 1LE replica wheels via ebay, and I didn't have a seconds problem. I'm in Australia, so my options were limited, but I would happily do it again.

I have a set of MMR for my 1LE A/S tires, Z28 (black) and they are GTG. They are Hub centric for the car although you'll need appropriate lug nuts as the OEM's will not fit, this is true for most AM wheels. I'm on season two and they are holding up fine, fit and finish are better than I expected.

I bought a set of MRR replicas. These pictures show them next to the OEM that are on the car. Perfect

Winter tires. I like my car to always look the same.

This article is more about forged vs cast wheel construction, but it does illustrate the risks you may be taking with cheap wheels.

Replica Wheels

I've put four sets of replica wheels on my 2010 and 2013 Corvettes, 2020 Silverado Custom, and 2016 Camaro 2SS and have never had a problem. The wheels were replicas from OE Wheels. Lucky me . . .
