The Future Of Muscle Cars (Electric Muscle Cars, etc.)

Hey guys, just wanted to get some of your opinions on what exactly is going to happen to Muscle Cars here by the time we hit 2024 or 2025?

- You have Dodge talking about their Electric Muscle Car is coming out in 2024, which will be either a Challenger or Charge with an electric battery.

- Then, you have GM talking about they want to move to electric vehicles and there's rumors the Camaro will be a 4 door electric sedan come 2024.

One of the reasons I got the Chevy Camaro 2SS is the awesome V8 muscle car sound. If they replace the engine with a battery, what would be left of any muscle car sounds or noise, etc.?

It looks like electric vehicles are going to take over the market here soon and I'm wondering if the muscle car market will suffer greatly as a result? Here are some links to review:

This is sadly more likely than anyone wants to admit right now.

Question We'll always have...

If you l@@k at the auction sites the old muscle cars never go away. I just wish I would have not run all my old cars into the ground but then again RUST would get them. 63,409,4sp. 66,Chevelle SS396.4sp. 72,Chevelle SS, Just some of when by-by, kind of wonder if the ever made it past the RUST. Now I sit here waiting for the last ICE car before I pass. Come on Chevy build my new 2022 Rapid Blue Convertible..

I choose not to care about it anymore. I have my car it will be fun to me for a long time and with the used car market and the fact that a new Gas station was put up recently we will probably still have ICE on the road until my time has passed anyway. EDIT: Not against EVs but it should be the choice of the consumer not the government.

I'm old and will always want to burn dead dinosaurs BUT none of us can argue with the performance the new "lectric" cars have. Personally I will never tire or want anything other than the sound of a big V8 but I do not want to face a 4 door tesla over at the local drag strip. And yes I know there are many threads on this subject. Just drinking tonight and though I would reply.

Don’t use your Camaro as a garage ornament. Drive um while you can!

We will probably still have performance cars, but if electric technology proliferates the car market, the muscle cars as we know them will cease to exist. I would rather that the muscle cars fade with dignity than to have them ridiculed by electric technology.
