Full wireless control of NPP valves.

I never liked the fact that the NPP valves still close in sport and track mode at low rpms or while cruising so this was an easy way around it. I found it on the corvette forums and it was just as easy to do on our car, only you use fuse 51 on ours.

You can either control the valves like I do in the video with the included transmitters or program the homelink buttons in the car if you don't want to keep a transmitter lying around in the center console. I used the big ground point right outside the fuse box and put a quick disconnect on it so the whole thing can be removed and returned to stock in about 30 seconds. The fuse box lid snaps on the right side but not on the left due to the two ground wires running out. I did notch the corner of the box there but it looks like the lid will need a little notch as well if I want it to snap down.

I set the car exhaust mode on the touchscreen to stealth and I'll just use this to control whether the valves are opened or closed. When you start the car it does default to open but if you just hold close button down while starting, it immedately closes upon firing and will be quiet.

It cost me about $30 for everything and I think it was well worth it! Here is the how-to guide, a video, and a pic of how I did it:
http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...ob-how-to.html

EDIT: I have since modified mine to be the same as in post #16. Having the ground in the fuse box makes everything so much easier

That's pretty trick! You should post this in the DYI section as well.

Will this update keep the valves open all the time? I mean both sets?

I could be wrong but I believe there's only 1 set of NPP valves and they're on the outboard tips. And this mod allows you to chose between slealth and open wirelessly.

If you have the A8 transmission, you will have to keep your car running in 8-cylinder mode. If you have the M6, the AFM valves are no concern for you.

No this will only keep the rear valves open at all times as it controls whether fuse 51 is in or not. There is another fuse for the afm valves but it will throw a code if pulled. You would need to buy the Range device to keep afm off or tune it out

Awesome job. So if I wanted to achieve the same result the lazy way, I just pull fuse 51 and my valves are always open?

Cool writeup man. Does it control it enough to keep closed on startup?

You do have to hold down the button on start up bc it gets reset while cranking. A minor annoyance
