Reconnecting Negative Terminal Spark
Hi All,
Probably the worst question I've asked before. I performed a rotofab install the other day and ran across an issue where the rad fans were jacked to max speed and oil pressure seemed a bit high too. One of the recommendations was unplug the battery since I forgot that step in my excitement. So I removed the terminal from the trunk. Went to work. Wife wanted to take a stab at reconnecting it but it seemed to spark everytime it touches and we're hesitant now on placing it back. I did end up taking everything off on the terminal (The two bolts, grounding, and the loose bit). She assembled and it looks right to me. Is there a particular procedure or tip that's been missed out? Only thing that comes to mind is connecting the terminal first without the grounding and then put the grounding in after it's touching the terminal already. |

Perfectly normal. Don't be shy and just connect it.

Thanks all! When I came home I reconnected and no sparks flew at all. I guess just her luck. And it fixed my Rotofab issue thankfully. Appreciate the time everyone. |
