Half Mile World Record?

It's a little hard to find info on this. We will be going to Shift-S3ctor with our 2016 Camaro SS. We have a F1A and an air-to-water setup along with race gas on a stock bottom end. Looking to break the record.. if there is one at all at the moment.

Anyone know what the current standing half mile record is for the 6th gen?

I was at the wanna go fast 1/2 mile in GA back in September, but my car never made it to a legit run. I ran a practice run and it trapped 177mph.

Ryne, I honestly think whatever the speed you get will be the new record.

I can't even think of seeing a ZL1 do this either - so it'd probably be a "6th gen" record and not even a "camaro ss" record

There's a few YouTube vids of '17 ZL1's doing 152-155 in standing 1/2 mile.

I'm going to 1/2 mile Battle Creek MI Speedfest in July so will let you know.

I hope to run an Omega in June, I think I can run close to 165 maybe higher if I can hook the car up in the mid range. I may have to buy a sticky tire, don't want to run my slicks. My car really top ends and now that I'm making over 700, it think it will be a killer combo for 1/2 mile. I'll spray the shit out of the meth on the big end.

Ran 138mph in my stock 1ss m6 at the wannagofast Dallas 1/2 mile. Stock tires. I think there’s more left in it. Didn’t launch very aggressively at all.
