There's a sound tube connected into the intake elbow. The Rotofab simply does not have the hardware to support this tube and includes a piece to block the hole in the firewall. The sound tube itself can then be removed from the engine bay. It gives the bay a slightly cleaner look as well. I honestly don't know why Chevy trouble themselves and waste their money with this BS function. |

It's a tube that goes from the intake tube to the firewall. Most manufacturers use them now to "pipe" in engine sound into the passenger compartment. My Mustang GT had one and I removed it when I installed my CAI on it and plugged it at the firewall.
