Found a 16 2SS with a 20% off tag!

Been looking all summer, may have finally found it:

2016 2SS Summit White
Adrenaline Red interior
A8
NPP dual mode exhaust
MRC
SUNROOF
NAV
black rims
black bowties

MSRP --> 48,940
20%off tag -->39,152

Has anybody else here seen a deal like this lately on the marked down 16's?

I just need to work out my trade and make sure they get me the stock wheels. Gonna keep fingers crossed!

20% is going to be the standard discount in the coming weeks, and in fact many dealers have been doing that recently with the 16%+dealer discounts. I'd target 25%.

I would pull the trigger on that deal. If you wait longer for a bigger discount, the selection won't be as good. If it's equipped the way you want, get it.

I was close to that. 41 for mine. Same except no MRC, so this is a great deal for you.

At this rate these Camaros will soon cost less than the Mustang. I love my car but with this kind of discounting I now understand why they have a 50% residual value in only 3 years. GM has created this out of control end of year discounting that basically forces their buyers to wait for year end deals.

With most manufactures you normally see year end discount 8-10%, not 16-20% or even 25%. If you have to discount a brand car 20% to sell it then it is priced wrong to begin with.

^^this, but since I haven't bought yet, I will only feel that way if I pull the trigger now, and try to sell next year. If I can get 20% off, and the car depreciates 28% a year, I'm on par or beating a BMW, for this year at least, next year, not so much. . . .

Where do you get you are "entitled" to the silver rims? The upgrade are dealer installed options which you pay for when you choose to buy the car. They are not obligated to hold any part they option out. You as the consumer have the option to buy the car they have for sale with the options offered or move on.

Dodge is selling several models at 30pct discount and a few Jeeps closer to 40 right now

Yes. Car sales are down. Pent up demand from the recession has tapered off.

I can't believe people are shocked by the discounting. This is typically what Chevy does at the end of the model year. Combine that with the fact that it's a high-priced car that isn't selling particularly well and you end up with a lot of heavily discounted cars.

I'm at the point now where I think anyone paying more than maybe $36-$37k for a 2SS/8AT/MRC/NPP car is not getting a great deal.

I don't feel bad at all for the people who bought for close to MSRP, though. They should have just waited a bit.

GM does this every year. Not sure why you are upset. If you want in cheaper, you have to wait till end of year.
