I run 3.5 inch pipe, from front to back, with 3.5 inch in and out Magna Flow mufflers... Custom 3.5 in 4” out double wall tips...
I added a video, well... because I like the sound... Try to ignore the fuel pump... Here’s my take... @750-800, I would upgrade to a free flowing exhaust... I know you understand an engine is just an air pump, so any restriction within reason should be removed... 1 7/8 headers are ok, but 2” would be better in my opinion. I don’t know your car, and in this thread you haven’t mentioned anything except the cat back... A bit of information might help... You mention boosted cars, are you running a top or front mount blower, or turbos...??? Nitrous? A combination of FI and nitrous??? If you are looking for actual performance, and not a dyno bragging number, then don’t restrict potential. If it’s a show piece, then save money for visuals... My car is performance only... If it doesn’t make it faster then I’ve no interest in it...
