Bluetooth calls suck

Anyone else experience really bad mic quality when on a phone call over Bluetooth? I tested it with a friend, and it is fine if it is stationary. What I mean by fine is we switched places so I could hear it, and I could understand every word that was said in the car but that was with the phone volume at max and it was a little bit low of a volume while parked. But on a highway, oftentimes I can barely be understood at all even with me yelling. My friend said it sounds like I'm muffled or under water, and that it sounded maybe as if the noise-cancellation was cancelling out some of my voice as part of road noise on the highway. He told me he'd give the quality a 4/10. Is this normal, or should I let the dealer play with it?

Yes. It's something I struggle to deal with an it irritates the crap out of me. Took it in several times and of course the dealer says it's working as intended or 'road noise'. If anyone comes up with a fix please let me know. I really want better call quality.

Why not just put the rest of the world on 'hold' while you're driving? Didn't you get a Camaro in the first place because you expected to enjoy driving it?

Do a search on here. Some say the fix is replacing the seals in the driver side mirror.

Knock on wood, mine is ok so far.

This might come as a surprise, but we don't all live the exact same life that you do. This is very well evidenced by the fact that Bluetooth is a standard feature in these vehicles, a clear response from the manufacturer on what the extreme majority wants.

So no, that isn't an option; it's a daft and myopic swing at people who are instigating nothing with you whatsoever.

The Bluetooth in the Camaro does suck, poor sound and the mic can barely pick up my voice while driving. I don’t answer any phone calls while I’m in the Camaro because of this.

Does it only happen when your using Bluetooth or have you tried plugging it in? I keep my iPhone plugged in and haven't had any problems with calls, even on the crappy Atlanta highways.

Interesting that it doesn't work well for you - I am in the car a lot for work and take a lot of calls from the road and haven't had an issue.

This is an overgeneralization Clam, it works flawlessly on my car and apparently others', too. I'm sure it isn't normal and the dealer should take care of the problem for you.

I guess I’ll get it checked out on my next visit to the dealer. I don’t drive the Camaro as often as my truck, and the truck Bluetooth is crystal clear compared to the Camaro.

Myopic is not being able to see the bigger picture of phone addiction for what it is, and daft is a word that tells me I hit pretty close to home with the suggestion to step away from it once in a while. GM and other mfrs have become enablers of this addiction.

If OP believes in "everything happens for a reason", perhaps he should listen to what his BT is trying to tell him.

No you were totally off and just being self-absorbed, which your response goes on to detail nicely. You also entirely lack the tools, education, knowledge, or data points to determine whether or not one qualifies for an 'addiction', which is just your inability to express your personal distaste for others using thier phones while driving without putting that blame where it belongs... on yourself.

But hey, whatever makes you feel better!

Works ok for me, same as my BMW, no worse. Tell your friend to take the phone off speaker-phone.
