Duramacr1 has a converter and a unlocked trans making the the car as quick with a lot less horsepower. BTW, 3400 lbs with driver is pretty light. Just My two cents Craig.

The converter and trans unlock are probably worth at least 4 tenths. Yest the 3400 with a 250 lb driver is very light since the car weight 3640 bone stock, that's what mine weighed on our local scales.

The car would have to be 3250 lbs, kind of hard to find a driver that weighs less than 150lbs. Not easy to remove 400lbs from a 3640 lb LT1

LT4camaro, my jockey is 125lbs with the helmet on .. The car weighs 3125 with a 1/4 tank and I’m 275 with helmet . We both run the car but when it comes time for a grudge I take the keys cuz I cut pretty good lights .

Wow, you certainly removed a lot of weight. I am not your competition by no means, but email me with some of your weight removal things, I would appreciate it. don67gm@gmail.com

LT4camaro. I have no problem posting my weight reduction here. I always tell people I’m an open book. I don’t hide anything . I like helping others and seeing other people go fast as well. I’m not selfish and don’t really grudge race on the street since my class A is my lively hood . My dragpak and aerospace brakes all around is worth 200 lbs .
. My car was 3600 with a 1/4 tank when I bought it. All stock wheels etc. Weighed it the 3 days after I bought it .

Here is the list

1. Aerospace front and rear. 80lbs
2. RC Comp torque wheels 15” conversión all around . 120lbs
3. Antigravity battery 30lbs
4. Headers , no cats , pypes mufflers 50lbs
5 . Front cowl with wipers . Unbolted to clear high ram 25lbs
6 . Front & Rear bumper supports. 35lbs
7. Passenger & rear seats 65lbs
8 . Washer reservoir with water 15lbs
9. Carbon fiber intake manifold and ram air. 10lbs
10. DSX billet valve covers. 8lbs
11. Cut stock hood 7lbs

This is all I can think of right now . Car still has stock front seat, all carpet , AC, Heater ,
Etc. I tried a Kirky seat and couldn’t stand it so took it off in 2 days .
Also tried axle dumps and took the off right away . I run the stock midpipe
To 3 inch Pypes turbo mufflers out the stock location but that only saved 20lbs.
It is the quietest 6th Gen at the track . Car made 532/470 on the dynocom .

The front seat is 58 lbs and the rear are 28 lbs for the seat bottom and seat back. So, that's 86 lbs

Thank you Duramacr1, you do your homework and spend some cash loosing weight LOL. Regarding the wiper cowl trim, I remove the arms and blades also, that alone is 4 or 5 lbs. The black textured blockout plastic piece that goes from fender to fender and up to the windshield is 20lbs? or are you removing some metal under it also. I have not touched my rear bumper reinforcement, but have unbolted the front along with the front sway bar which I assume you have done. Is your rear sway bar still intact?

Size: 176.2 KBGuys I knew I was missing something . Obviously the belly pan and front swaybar. Another 25 or so. I actually took that off after 3 days of having the car .
LT4 , the cowl is a piece of metal that unbolts off the car. It don’t drive the car in the rain so I’m not worried about wipers . Everything together is 25lbs. And everything can go back on in an hour. I decide to do that ínstead of cutting it to fit the high ram.

Looks like the shock tower short strut arms are unbolted from firewall, those are a couple of pounds each.

I saw that intake manifold on FB. Sounds promising and much lighter than a hi ram. Crazy the valve covers saved 8lbs. Never had them off but they must be a good amount heavier than Ls valve covers. You should make a whole new post with your weight reduction/mods etc. good info
