Slinding panel ... feels like Covid
Hi guys, I thought my car is vaccinated and got the booster and it will never have any issues with its top and sliding plastic panel. But that's not the case.
I can see that the sliding panel on the driver side is not completely leveled when the top is down. I need to give it a light push. When closing the top I heard the last time a louder noise coming from this direction. So far I did not put the top down again ... For people who dealt with this sliding panel issue (got stuck, broken, ...) is there anything what I can do to make this panel last in case nothing is broken yet. Any advice is appreciated

We’ll, like Covid.. the sliding panel issue is here to stay. Both the old and revised sliding panel design are flawed. While the newer version may be “better”, to put it bluntly, it’s still a piece of dung. The parts are cheap and easy to replace, so a bit of a bright side and what I recommend you do. If you haven’t had your window regulators changed, you’ll have to lop off the extra support leg on the latest revision of the sliding panel. |
