Question Tuning question

What does everybody recommend for handheld tuners for my 2017 ZL1. I only have bolt-on mods. Rotofab CAI and the Soler Engineering ported throttle body. I would like to eliminate the off idle stumble.

The HP Tuners MPVI2 is great but, it's not exactly user friendly and it doesn't come with canned tunes. While you can certainly learn how to tune your car, I think what you're asking is about either a canned tune or a remote tune.

Find a shop you prefer and ask them what they use. You can get a tune through them, most likely. Some shops may not be willing to remote tune a boosted vehicle, though. That would be my advice versus getting a Diablo tuner or something like that.

Thanks! I am just looking for a canned tune to improve drivability. I have no problem leaving these things to the experts. I will get in touch Jannety Racing. They are sorta close.

If you're going to do remote tuning, it would be very wise to get a wide-band O2 sensor installed. Being able to measure air/fuel ratios on a boosted vehicle is critically important to the success of the tuning and health of the engine.

He isn't employed by LMR? Isn't that him in some of the videos?

I've wondered the same thing, I saw a livernois handheld tuner but no reviews or feedback anywhere to be found so skeptical to pull the trigger.

If its the same Ryne I'm thinking of, I had my previous SS dyno tuned at his shop here in houston. Heard nothing but good things about him too

That is him, but I think he is only helping out at LMR, still has his own business BRC Raceworks.

Prospeed is where I got Ryne's information from and that is where his dyno is at.

Canned tunes are never the solution, especially for vehicles like these. The best thing you can do for yourself is buy the MPVI2 and get a remote tune, but in order to do a remote tune you will need a wideband AFR gauge more often than not. So to get fully tuned it's sort of a multi step process.
