Tried no lift shift first time on my manual 1le. Omg, the shifts are fast and smooth. The car makes a funny farting noise but leaving the foot on the gas definitely helps with the shift timing.

European 2ss convertible top replacement

Though only at the early stages, i noticed the glass delaminating slightly from the top (common problem, widely discussed in the convertible section). Being early, I probably have another year or so before it separates and water tightness is a problem. However, seeing as i live in the UK and we're known for our poor weather, I wanted to change the top before we were in the depths of winter (about 10 months of the year here!) and I had a leaky roof that I needed to change on the driveway. I bought a top from gahh automotive who claim to have improved upon the gm oem top with regard to the window. As you can see from the photographs, it is a little different but time will tell as to whether it holds up longer than the oem version (people who've had tops replaced by dealers with oem parts claim that the delamination re-occurs). Being in the UK, a warranty claim with gm wasn't an option and we're lacking in dealer support so I decided to change the top myself. The top was fairly reasonably priced (international shipping and taxes are pricey though) and with the exception of the revised glass bonding, the top is identical to the oem version. Going slowly the swap took me about 4 hours. There was a lot of swearing and it wasn't the easiest task but definitely within the capabilities of a competent DIYer. Any questions or if I can help anyone, feel free to send me a message.

The 1LE has the same Tremek as my LT1 right?
Also, would you expect any damage doing this long term?

I've never tried it, maybe i need to ......

Ordering RF 650 brake fluid, going by best consensus numbers for my track alignment so those can be knocked out this week. Poking around for a helmet to. Worked last night so weather has been hit or miss since I got up at noon. Happy 4th y'all!

Hey... Thx for taking those pics. I've been debating on a splitter for my car, but haven't decided on which. Those pics help see it from a good profile. I actually prefer the non 1LE Splitter.. but that's just my liking. Glad you are happy with your swap.

I know the 1LE has a shorter throw shifter.
