A wise decision. Happy wife... happy life!

Being recently retired (3 years), I just figured out last tax year how much state tax to have them take out so I don't owe any (not figured automatically). Over the next few years, I will get to a point where my retirement and SS won't be taxed at all - that'll be nice.

Anyways... I am ordering turbos today
yea, it always amazes me how people let the government over tax them for 12 months then get excited when the government returns the overage a year later with no interest.

If I happened to get a refund this year it would be in "new CAI range"
Some years I get refunds, usually more from the state than Fed.

I never get a refund, and this year will be the same.

however there is a good chance that my company will be giving a 5th quarter bonus this year..

we were promised if we ended the year 150% or more over sales plan we would get a 5th quarterly bonus. we ended @ 228% over plan.

if they keep their promise and pay out next month, then I will be looking to set aside a little and add a Sport Bar to my convertible. The rest will get added to the retirement and college funds..

5th?
Isn't quarters numbered 1 through 4?

The company just calls it a 5th quarter bonus, basically they give a double bonus for the whole year in the 1st quarter of the following year if we exceed sales plan by 150% or more. Plus we get our normal quarterly bonus for the 4th quarter of last year.
