2016 Shelby GT350 R 650 Miles $40,000

Hi,

I was bored and I bid on an auction. 40K for a 2016 R model in my opinion is way too good to be true. Do not think I get a regular GT350 for that price. The highest winning bidder retracted their bid & I l was declared the winning bidder. Hopefully some feedback if possible?

The Winning bidder wants me to wire Half the $ & bring the rest when I pick-up the Shelby. I did contact eBay and apparently if I wire money I am covered under their purchase protection. Funds are not required to go through PayPal on vehicles. if I fail to receive anything from the seller and or the vehicle is significantly different than advertised, there is a protection program of some sorts. I’m going to contact the seller as he give me his phone number.

Does anyone know this vehicle? The only other suspicious thing is the title is in his wife’s name. Without asking he sent me the title & I formed me of the name discrepancy

Any feedback would be appreciated.

It was reserve not met. Meaning your bid wasn’t high enough to win the auction.

Seems to good to be true. Top bid probably fell through because they could smell a scam. If it turns out to be legit. Congrats!

Where is the car?....Tell him you want to see it and drive it first before you hand over any money....It will be worth the trip to check it out first.

I told him I would fly out after the fourth. Do not see him going along with it as this is way too good to be true.

Looks like the car is in Las Vegas. If you look at the seller's feedback, he seems legit.

But, the add shows the car is still for sale with the bidding ending in 6 days.

I thought the OP said he won the bid. I am confused...

How about send a picture of the car with a copy of today's paper in the shot, with a hand written note with your actual name on it?
