Appreciate the response. After lookin around a bit...any exhaust routing is going to be a close fit...going to have to get solid mounts.

Engine is out now. Should be tearing down to diagnose and start the fun this week. Curious to see what they find and watch the progress.

Well, not much progress to report. Just heard the block is back from machine shop, and got a few pics last month on the piston carnage. Been around 3mo, so hoping to see more progress soon. Didn't think it would take 6mo, but as long as it's done right this time I am happy to wait.

For your viewing pleasure, here are the only pics I've received to share.

Not sure which cylinders these were, only pics/info I have received from them thus far.

Was barely in boost when this happened for less than a second, but there is a larger story behind the "why" that I won't drag out on here. Bad shop/vendor with work, and that's where I'll leave it.

Engine/car had 4500mi on it. Had meth. Like 16* timing max pending IAT

Was combined effect of whatever they left bouncing in the engine (according to GPI), as well as WG spring/lines. Take a look at the top of the piston from FOD slapping around.

Prior to dropping off, it ran solid with 6-7# for the 2k miles I owned it. First time seeing boost after pickup, dead in water.

I won't dwell, it will be addressed after the build is concluded.

Went ahead and bit the bullet on a set of +30% FIC injectors. Another member gave me the low down on a deal, so ordered them this morning. Will forward to GPI once the arrive.

Only thing not upgraded will be the LT4 high side to LPE. Hoping it will hold enough power to max out the turbo/IC. Still debating on if I upgrade the IC while it's off. Have them looking into better DP options to go 3.5-4".

Sorry to bring up old scars...but thanks for sharing and good luck with the new build! Turbo LTs arent too common yet so its nice to see another one in the making.

One step closer. FIC +30 showed up. Once the engine is built I'll be shipping them to GPI. Just waiting for some kind of update to know it's being worked...

Anyone near GPI by chance? Not hearing/seeing anything from them and would just like a check in....

PM me if you're close and want to help a brother out. Going on 5mo.
