I love showing my car off. Be honest, love it or hate it? I have received more negative comments than positive.

Yea that is a bit too high for my taste. I would probably put a hiram on it powder coated black.

A tad? That would be like trying to look over a old school pro stock hood. Pretty sure its a Goertz gpro intake.

G1pro built it. I don’t have any issues seeing. Sometimes on a long right hand sweeper I need to sit up in my seat a bit.

Honestly that doesn't look bad from the driver seat. Does that intake have the built in intercooler?

Yes. It has what g1pro calls a 4000hp core. It is very large.

I will be running duel wide bands and egt’s on this set up as it gets turned up. I would love to have a cylinder pressure logger but haven’t found anyone to go in on one with me. Me and another guy went together on a dyno so we will have unlimited tuning time available.

I would really like to play with things like trying to extract max hp while not exceeding a given peek cylinder pressure.

Piezo sensors can get pricey. Which ones are you looking at?

Cylinder pressure is enthalpy, using that enthalpy requires matching energy exchange rates, which takes piston acceleration, or lots of RPM. The other side of the coin is pumping losses. I can discuss ideals, but there is so much needed to reach those ideals that is just not possible with what we have to work with.

Whoa, I was thinking in more simple terms. Make a run at let’s say 20psi of boost and 18deg of timing. Record peek cylinder pressure. Now pill timing and add boost to get back to that peek number and see what happens to hp. If it goes up pull more timing and add more boost.... that type of thing. All the while keeping an eye on egt’s, exhaust back pressure... try different fuels and different iat’s.

Is cylinder pressure even the limiting factor for one of these engines?
